God is well aware of our natural, sinful condition, from the smallest of hidden sin, to the most heinous imaginable.
The Bible lays out a process many Christians call "The Roman Road to Salvation" (because of what book of the Bible it is cited in). Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Every person that has ever lived was born with a sinful condition that we inherited, combined with the fact that we also have all chosen to disobey God. There is no one who is innocent.
Romans 3:10-18 gives a detailed picture of what sin looks like in our lives.
10 As the Scriptures say,
“No one is righteous—
not even one.
11 No one is truly wise;
no one is seeking God.
12 All have turned away;
all have become useless.
No one does good,
not a single one.”
13 “Their talk is foul, like the stench from an open grave.
Their tongues are filled with lies.”
“Snake venom drips from their lips.”
14 “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”
15 “They rush to commit murder.
16 Destruction and misery always follow them.
17 They don’t know where to find peace.”
18 “They have no fear of God at all.”
Legally, there is a price to be paid to righteous God for that sin. Romans 6:23a says, “For the wages of sin is death.” These are the natural consequences for sin. It is payment earned; Not just physical death, but eternal death! Fortunately, God is not only just, but He is also merciful. Romans 6:23b says, “But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
How could a good God possibly let guilty sinners off the hook? Romans 5:8 declares, “8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Jesus gave His life for us! He paid for the price of our sin; both that we inherited, and those we chose to commit.
It's highly likely you know that Jesus was crucified, and on the 3rd day the Holy Spirit resurrected Him, proving God the Father accepted Jesus' death as our sin debt having been paid in full.

How Can I Be Saved?
“9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
Because innocent Jesus was executed in our place, all we must do is believe in Him, trusting His death as payment for our sin and we will be forgiven! Romans 10:13 says it again, "13 For Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sin and rescue us from eternal death. Salvation, the forgiveness of sins, is for anyone who will trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Considering?
Romans 5:1 wonderfully teaches, "1 Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us." Through Jesus the Christ we can live in relationship peacefully with God - No more guilt!
Romans 8:1 says, "1 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus." Because of Jesus’ death on our behalf, we will never be condemned for our sins. We have been given a promise from God, recorded in Romans 8:38-39:
"38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Do you want to be saved?
If you would you like to follow the Bible's roadmap to salvation, sincerely pray this simple prayer to God. It's a way to declare to God that you know you are worthy of death, but you are relying on Jesus Christ for your salvation. There are no magical words to save you. Only a repentant faith in Jesus Christ can provide salvation!
Pray: “God, I know that I have sinned against you and am deserving of punishment…but Jesus Christ took that punishment that I deserve so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven. I ask you to forgive me, and I place my trust in You for salvation. Thank You for giving Your grace, forgiveness, and eternal life through Jesus, who willing laid down Himself as a sacrifice in my place on the cross. I now give you my heart and life forever. Amen!”
